Rotary Club of Chitwan, in collaboration with CAN Federation Chitwan, successfully organized a two-day training on “Use of ICT in Education” at Rotary Dandapani Bhattarai Bhawan, RC Chitwan meeting hall. The training commenced on 3rd Ashoj 2082 with the participation of 35 teachers from Shree Rastriya Basic School (Khetbari–Ichchhakamana), Bhadra Kumari School (Gulab Bagh), and Rastriya Secondary School (Kailashnagar) and Balkumari Secondary School.
The program was chaired by Club President Rtn. Ramchandra Adhikari and inaugurated by Assistant Governor Rtn. Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, Rotary International District 3292, Region 6, Zone 34. Er. Krishna Pokharel, Secretary of CAN Federation Chitwan, attended as Special Guest. The program was coordinated by Immediate Past President Rtn. Bhanu Sharma, who also extended the welcome remarks.
The training sessions were facilitated by Mr. Lal Prasad Paudel and Er. Krishna Pokharel, focusing on office packages, preparation of teaching materials, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. The initiative emphasized hands-on practice, where participants worked directly on their laptops.
The total budget of the program was NPR 30,000/–.
On the second day, the Closing Ceremony was conducted under the chairmanship of Club President Rtn. Ramchandra Adhikari. The Chief Guest was Assistant Governor Rtn. Dhan Bahadur Shrestha (Rotary District 3292, Region 6, Zone 34), and the Special Guest was CAN Federation Chitwan President Bishnu Lamichhane. Closing remarks were delivered by CAN President Er. Lamichhane, Assistant Governor Rtn. Shrestha, and finally concluded by President Rtn. Adhikari.
At the ceremony, certificates were handed over to all participants, marking the successful completion of the training. The teachers expressed enthusiasm about applying their new knowledge and skills in classrooms, making the program impactful in enhancing digital learning and modern teaching practices in community schools.
