Maternal & Child Health in Nepal

On the 12th of July, as part of the Maternal & Child Health Month in Clubs, the Rotary Club of Chitwan hosted a seminar titled “Maternal & Child Care in Nepal” during their weekly regular meeting for Club 1710. The seminar was a significant part of the club’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness and promote better health practices for mothers and children in Nepal.   The distinguished speaker for the event was Dr. Buddhi Kumar Shrestha, a Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Medical Sciences, NMC No. 3474. Dr. Shrestha brought his extensive expertise and experience to the seminar, sharing valuable insights on the current state of maternal and child health in Nepal. His presentation covered a range of topics, including the challenges faced by mothers and children, advancements in medical care, and effective strategies for improving health outcomes.   The seminar was held as part of the club’s weekly regular meeting and served as an important platform for discussing issues related to maternal and child health, a key focus area for Rotary International. Dr. Shrestha’s engaging and informative session highlighted the critical importance of addressing maternal and child health issues, offering practical solutions and encouraging collaborative efforts to enhance health care services for these vulnerable populations.
