On 18th December 2024, the Rotary Club of Chitwan, in collaboration with the Spouse Club of RC Chitwan, organized a woolen clothes distribution program at Siddhivinayak Secondary School, Baseni. The program aimed to support underprivileged students by providing warm sweaters to help them stay comfortable during the winter season. The event was graced by the presence of Rtn. Bhanu Sharma, President of the Rotary Club of Chitwan, as the chief guest, and was chaired by Parbati Bagale Subedi, President of the Spouse Club of RC Chitwan.
During the program, 24 students from low-income families were provided with warm sweaters, with the total cost of the initiative amounting to NPR 15,000/-. The event highlighted Rotary’s commitment to improving educational outcomes through community support. Addressing the gathering, Rtn. Bhanu Sharma emphasized the importance of creating an environment that encourages children to attend school regularly. He also underlined Rotary’s efforts in supporting community schools through educational materials, sports equipment, and health camps.
The school’s principal, Mr. Shiva Koirala, expressed his gratitude to Rotary for their consistent contributions to the betterment of education and the community. The event was efficiently conducted conducted by Spouse Club Secretary Arpana Shrestha. This initiative not only provided warmth to the students but also strengthened the partnership between Rotary, the Spouse Club, and the school, fostering a shared commitment to the welfare of the community.
