Rotary Club of Chitwan successfully conducted a Heart Screening Program for Senior Citizens at its club building. The event was held under the chief guest Rtn. Hari Prasad Subedi, Assistant Governor Zone 38 and was presided over by Club President Rtn. Bhanu Sharma. President-Elect Rtn. Ram Chandra Adhikari conducted the session.
Chief Guest Rtn. Hari Prasad Subedi highlighted Rotary’s long-standing commitment to social service, while Rtn. Dr. Manohar Pradhan, Chairman of Rotary Pun Narayan Ujeli Devi Cardio Care Center, stressed the importance of early detection in heart diseases for effective treatment. President Rtn. Bhanu Sharma highlighted that Rotary’s global Heart campaign and shared that the club has been actively conducting various health-related programs and has now initiated a heart screening program for senior citizen on the occasion of National Democracy day.
The screening program catered to 20 senior citizens from Gaidakot, with Senior Cardiologist Rtn. Dr. Manoj Shrestha conducting echocardiography and other essential tests. The initiative aims to raise awareness about heart health, facilitate timely diagnosis, and refer patients to appropriate medical institutions for further care. The program was successfully contributed to the well-being of the elderly, promoting preventive healthcare and timely intervention.
