Venue: Bharatpur Hospital
The Rotary Club of Chitwan and Spouse Club of R.C. Chitwan jointly organized a Clothes Distribution Program on 4th February 2025 (2081 Magh 22, Tuesday) at the Clothes Bank operated by Bharatpur Hospital. The initiative aimed to support patients and their caregivers who often face difficulties due to a lack of proper clothing. Considering the shortage of clothes in the bank, the clubs took the initiative to provide free clothing to those in need. Bharatpur Hospital, being a government hospital, serves a high number of financially disadvantaged patients, including those from mountainous regions, Chepang, Tharu, and other marginalized communities, who often rely on the government’s health insurance scheme for treatment but struggle due to a lack of sufficient cash to purchase essential items, including clothing
During the event, Rotary Club of Chitwan President Rtn. Bhanu Sharma and Spouse Club of RC Chitwan President Parbati Bagale Subedi jointly handed over approximately 300 pieces of clothing worth NPR 150,000 to Bharatpur Hospital Medical Superintendent/ RC Chitwan President Nominee Rtn. Dr. Krishna Paudel, along with Hospital Development Committee Chairman and Past President Rtn. Raju Poudel. The distribution was specifically targeted at patients and caregivers to ensure they do not suffer due to a lack of proper clothing. This initiative played a vital role in providing warmth and comfort to patients and their attendants, ensuring that no one at the hospital faces difficulties due to a lack of clothing. The event highlighted Rotary’s ongoing commitment to community welfare and reinforced the importance of social responsibility and humanitarian service.
