1) End Polio Rally
On October 24, 2024, aligning with International Polio Day, Rotary District 3292 Region 6 organized a joint motorcycle rally under the slogan “End Polio Now.” The rally began at Gondrang Chowk and concluded at Balkumari Campus Ground. The event aimed to raise awareness about polio eradication and emphasize Rotary’s commitment to this global cause. The President of Rotary Club Chitwan Rtn. bhanu Sharma, speaking on behalf of all participating clubs, emphasized that to eradicate polio, collective alignment and active participation from everyone are essential.
Several club members participated actively, including past presidents, board officers, Rotarians, Rotaractors, and spouses, showing strong support for Rotary’s polio eradication mission. This rally served as a powerful awareness campaign, promoting polio prevention efforts across the community and underscoring the importance of vaccinations.
The event directly benefits children and families in the area by emphasizing the critical need for polio immunization, which helps ensure a polio-free future. This impactful initiative by Rotary District 3292 highlights the strength of community participation and Rotary’s dedication to health campaigns, setting a positive example for future health-related events.
2) Polio Awareness Meeting
On October 18, 2024, in Club 1724th regular meeting, the RC Chitwan hosted an impactful polio awareness session by Rtn. Dr. Bhoj Raj Adhikari. Dr. Adhikari provided detailed insights on polio, its effects, and Rotary’s ongoing efforts in eradicating the virus. He emphasized Rotary’s initiatives to raise awareness through social media and strengthen vaccination drives in the community, especially on International Polio Day. This session reinforced Rotary’s commitment to a polio-free world and encouraged members to actively participate in public health efforts..
3) Polio End Donation Collection
To support Polio eradication members were contributing fund. Contributions of $25 each were made by President Rtn. Bhanu Sharma, TRF Chair Rtn. Gopal Gaire, Rtn. Dinesh Kumar Chuke, 2nd VP Rtn. Gehendra Man Shrestha, Club Admin Chair Rtn.Er. Lomash Adhikari, Rtn. Rishi Ram Neupane, and Service Project Chair Rtn. Dr. Manohar Pradhan, aiming towards an $800 club goal. This demonstrates the club’s dedication to a polio-free world.
