Rotary Club of Chitwan in collaboration with the Public Health Office Chitwan, District Traffic Office Chitwan, and other organizations, Mission Red Campaign successfully organized a sticker campaign to raise awareness about blood donation. The program was conducted at Bharatpur-10, Chaubiskothi Chowk, under the leadership of Mission Red Coordinator Mr. Arjun Adhikari and graced by the Chief Guest, former Social Development Minister of Bagmati Province, Mr. Bijay Subedi.
During the event, 600 small and large awareness stickers were affixed to both local and long-distance vehicles to promote blood donation. Mission Red has also utilized digital platforms to amplify its awareness initiatives. The campaign, initiated in 2081 by SD Foundation in collaboration with Blood Donors Society Nepal, aims to address the critical blood shortage nationwide.
Mission Red has accomplished numerous blood donation and awareness events, including the “My First Blood Donation” program held at Bharatpur Hospital premises on Poush 19. Mr. Guru Kandel, Public Health Officer, alongside representatives from various organizations, attended the program.
Rotary Club of Chitwan was represented by 2nd Vice President Rtn. Rajan Piya, who elaborated on the club’s impactful social contributions and its strategic plans for future initiatives.
This campaign significantly heightened public awareness regarding the importance of blood donation and encouraged community participation. The program’s success underscores the value of collaborative efforts in addressing societal challenges.
