Date: 1st July, 2025

Venue: Masina Basic School, Pokhara

On 1 July 2025 (Asar 17, 2082), a joint school materials distribution program was successfully conducted at Shree Masina Basic School, Pokhara, by the Rotary Club of Chitwan and its sponsored club, Rotary Club of Pokhara. The event was chaired by RC Chitwan President Rtn. Ramchandra Adhikari and RC Pokhara President Rtn. Om Kumar Shrestha, while the school’s principal Mr. Govinda Prasad Baral facilitated the overall proceedings. As part of the initiative, Rotary Club of Pokhara provided educational materials worth NPR 10,000, and Rotary Club of Chitwan contributed sports items worth NPR 9,000, all of which were distributed to the students of the school.

The program boosted students’ learning environment and encouraged physical activity. This collaborative effort between the sponsoring and sponsored clubs showcased Rotary’s sustained commitment to supporting education and youth development, particularly in rural and underserved communities. The program directly benefited primary-level students, most of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds, by enhancing their access to learning and recreational materials. It also served to strengthen inter-club bonds and reflect the long-term vision of Rotary’s community service. Notable participants from RC Chitwan included President Rtn. Ramchandra Adhikari, IPP Rtn. Bhanu Sharma, PE Rtn. Gehendra Man Shrestha, VPs Rtn. Rajan Piya, Rtn. Gopal Bhattarai, and Er. Puran Subedi, Secretary Rtn. Er. Lomash Adhikari, Public Image Chair Rtn.
